Spy Kids 3D: Game Over

The famous series from Robert Rodriguez is back on its third installment and it now features high-tech 3-D animation incorporated into the images of the movie with digital technology. The story unfolds as Juni Cortez (Daryl Sabara) decides to quit the OSS spy Agency. The agency’s president (George Clooney, in one of the film’s many celebrity cameos) then informs him that the evil Toymaker played by Sylvester Stallone has taken his sister Carmen played by Alexa Vega hostage in a virtual reality videogame that the Toymaker created to have control over the minds of the young people playing it. Juni must bet his own life inside the game to emerge victorious in it. Leaving his parents (Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino) behind, Juni brings along his Grandfather (Ricardo Montelban) and OSS agents Cesca (Salma Hayek) and Donnagon Giggles (Mike Judge) to help him ensure the safety of Carmen and that of the rest of the world. Inside the technicolor reality Juni must emerge victorious in each level of the game while trying to avoid his own death and the dreaded videogame defeat phrase “game over.”

Journey to the Center of the Earth

Professor Trevor Anderson (Brendan Fraser)  welcomes his nephew Sean Anderson to his really dirty home. He is to stay for ten days with his uncle while his mother, Elizabeth, readies to move to Canada. Elizabeth gives a box to Trevor that once belonged to his missing brother, Max. Inside it, Trevor is able to find a book with awesome references to his brother’s last journeys. Looking for an adventure, he decides to follow his missing brother’s footsteps with nephew Sean and they both travel to Iceland, unbeknownst to the teenager’s mother, where they meet the guide Hannah Ásgeirsson. Asgeirsson tells them the story of a family member which is quite parallel to the writings in Trevor’s brother’s notebook. Although the stories are absurd, all three of them decide to find out for themselves and try to follow the clues known to them. While climbing a mountain, they are met by a thunderstorm and they had to hide in cave. A lightning then destroys the only entrance of the cave, trapping all of them in it. They seek an exit but instead falls in a hole to a lost world in the Center of the Earth, where adventure and lots of discoveries about Max’s story awaits them.
