Most of us tend to take modern technology for granted. It is all around us, and we can forget how much it has improved our lives. If you are like me and love watching movies then the internet will have really benefited you. Just a decade ago, I was lucky if I managed to get to see two or three movies each week on DVD. Nowadays I can watch films morning, noon, and night and never run out of options. I will never run out of movies to watch because there are just so many to choose from online. But I have to say that I think it is both a good and bad thing to have so many options.

 

I feel that the biggest disadvantage of having so much choice in terms of movies is the fact that a lot of the enjoyment is gone. There is a saying which applies here who wants chocolate biscuits if the jar is always full of them? This applies to many situations. There is nothing special about watching a movie anymore. It used to be the case that I would look forward to my DVD night. I’d buy special food and invite friends around. These days I just watch a movie whenever I have nothing else to do so it is not a special thing anymore.

 

Of course the positive impact of online movies more than makes up for the negatives. With so much choice, how could I ever get bored again. All I have to do is go on the internet to look for something to watch if I have nothing else to do. I don’t have to leave the house to rent something. And I don’t have to wait for the movie to download because I can just stream it to my computer. This really is a wonderful thing when you think about it. I can honestly say that I am happy with online movies despite the one minor downside.

 

We are lucky to be able to enjoy such a number of things thanks to the creation of the world-wide-web. Among the thing s we’re now able to do are sending email messages, shopping searching for answers and looking out for information - a whole bunch more more in addition to. One of the better things we are able to do though is free movies online.
