In a recent survey, it was discovered that over fifty percent of the people in Canada watch movies and TV over the internet on a regular basis. These are impressive numbers and they are indicative of the way people around the world are getting their entertaiment. If they decided to carry out a similar survey here in the UK, then I have no doubt in my mind that we would see results that are much the same. When more and more people see how great online video actually is, we are bound to see this trend continuing. The following are just some of the main reasons why people worldwide are choosing to watch movies and TV over the internet

 

  • One of the main reasons why people love this type of entertainment is the fact that it is so portable. Anyone who has an internet receiving device like a laptop with them will be able to connect to their favourite TV shows no matter where they are. And all you have to do is download the programmes you want to watch beforehand if you are not going to have internet connection where you are going.

 

  • The selection of TV shows and movies available is impressive online. You won’t ever be in a position where you will be bored because there is content available from every corner of the planet to suit every single taste. The thing that I like the most is that it is possible to watch a full TV series in one go instead of having to wait for a week in-between each episode.

 

  • I also like the fact that you have more control when it comes to watching TV shows on the internet. It is up to me when I decide to watch.

 

  • The web is full of free content. I know that some of this material is pirated but you can also find some legitimate material there as well. My favourite is the BBC iPlayer.

 

We are lucky to be able to enjoy such a number of things thanks to the creation of the world-wide-web. We are able to do things such as shopping, sending email messages, looking for and finding information - and so much more besides. Probably the most favourite thing to do though is free movies online.
