Cable television on the other hand, transfers the data to your home underground through coaxial cables.  Cable TV uses radio frequency signals which are sent directly through the cable.  This ensures that their are no issues around weather, however, it does bring another set of challenges.  If the cable itself becomes damaged it can take longer to find and repair the fault.  Cable can also be limited to urban areas only.  Laying all the required cable is an expensive process, and when there are multiple users in urban areas sharing the cable it becomes cost effective.  However in rural areas where there may only be a few users, it can become cost prohibitive.
